Entry from: Panama City, Panama Entry Title: “Flying to Panama” Entry: “I woke up at 4 am and head up to the Vancouver Airport. When I arrived to Panama City the heat was unbearable. After 12 hour flight, all I wanted was a shower, a cold beer and a smoke. Landing in Panama City the view from the airplane was beautiful. I wait and wait at the baggage claim, but my bag pack never arrived… This is going to be a great trip, I can feel it =) Welcome to Panama Sofi! Full of surprises, this is going to be exciting. I walk to the baggage claim stand and a friendly guy was standing there behind it. Around the stand was an ocean of luggage, just sitting there without an owner. I started wandering… So I go and tell the guy that my bag pack probably got lost on the way or something if I could claim it here. He tells me that they don’t have system in the computer right now. So he starts looking for a paper to write on and says: “So describe me your luggage”. I told him that it’s just a bag pack not a luggage and is black and green… so then he asks me for the brand. Truly I had no idea; all I could say was that I sowed an Argentinean flag patch on it. I asked him when would the system come back, he answered that they’ve been without system for the past two days. So I asked him how were they going to find my

“BC & Alberta Tour inc Calgary Stampede” Dixie87′s photos around Vancouver, Canada (stampede bc)

Entry from: Vancouver, Canada Entry Title: “BC & Alberta Tour inc Calgary Stampede!” Entry: “I arrived at Vancouver airport & my friend Jenny picked me up & drove me back to her place. Jen was working as a barmaid when I arrived in Bundaberg, Australia, looking for fruit picking work and when she found out I’d be arriving in her home town a few months later, she kindly offered for me to stay with her. That evening, she had planned a “Taco night” in her flat & had invited a few of her friends round, two of whom where from Wales. I got talking to the lad from Cardiff & we were joking around about how we probably know some of the same people. He knew a few people from my high school so we were chatting about that. Suddenly he came out with, “Do you know a Laura Dix”? I was shocked! This guy knew my sister?! It turns out, he had been temping in my sister’s office for a while in Cardiff before moving over to Canada. How random that I would meet Jen in Australia & she would be friends with a Welsh guy in Vancouver, who worked with my sister in Cardiff – small world! :o ) I spent a couple of nights at Jen’s house before departing for my Contiki tour of British Columbia & Alberta on June 26th. After 54 of us had loaded onto the coach, we began the scenic drive towards Whistler. After checking into our hotel, I

“Seattle” Jreeves’s photos around Seattle, United States

Preview of Jreeves’s blog at TravelPod. Read the full blog here: www.travelpod.com This blog preview was made by TravelPod using the TripAdvisor™ TripWow slideshow creator. Entry from: Seattle, United States Entry Title: “Seattle” Entry: “Good ole Southwest. Kelly gave up her seat on a flight back from Raleigh Durham back in November. And they gave her a free round-trip anywhere. I also gained a free round trip for traveling with work on the Rapid Rewards program. So airfare was free for this trip! Saved us lots of fun money. But things are still tight. Hotels are expensive in Canada. I have quite a few Marriott points but I wanted to save them for another time. I’m in danger of losing my platinum status this year as we didn’t stay in a Marriott in Denver this year. But I think these nights will get me closer. Our flight was delayed but only an hour. We flew over Montana and were treated to some great views of the Mountains at thirty four thousand feet. We stayed at the Fairfield by the SEA-TAC airport. The area around the airport leaves a lot to be desired. But it may be because we arrived so late. We drove around, starved, for hours looking for anything open. We finally settled for an IHOP. We were both in a gloomy mood. But were quite charmed by our server who was a very jovial overweight fellow. I’m still amazed that the guy was working graveyard at IHOP and was still able to crack jokes with us and keep us smiling. I guess you never know. We took off early the next
