LunarFest 2011 Vancouver

Started in 2009 as a Vancouver Winter Olympic Legacy event, Lunar Fest is a window into Asian art and culture. Every evening from February 3 – 13, 2011 between 4:00pm to 11:00pm outside the Vancouver Art Gallery, visitors can walk among thousands of lanterns decorated by children across the Lower Mainland and Asia. Visit the CIBC Pavillion for free hot drinks and when you give a donation to the Vancouver Aquarium you get a rabbit lantern (shile supplies last) LunarFest showcases their creations in a one-of-a-kind Underwater Lantern Tunnel, giving the public a chance to walk through these young artists’ imaginations and be surrounded by thousands of their fish lanterns.
